Hartford Junior Wolf Pack Midget U-16
Dan Stewart - U-16 Head Coach
Dan grew up in Port Hope, Ontario and played his minor hockey there. Dan then moved on to play Junior A hockey for the neighboring Cobourg Cougars. He then went ahead to the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). After spending three seasons in London, Dan moved on to Nova Scotia, where he finished his junior career. He then entered Saint Mary's University, where he spent three seasons playing for the Huskies and graduated with his bachelor's degree in business.
Upon graduation, Dan moved to Connecticut and started the Connecticut Crease and became one of the premier names in goalie training for New England. Dan began his teaching career with Rick Heinz Goalie School when he was only 17 years old. He has been working with Rick Heinz Goalie School ever since and is one of Rick's most senior Head Instructors.
During the 2002-2003 season, Dan served as goalie coach for the NCAA Division 1 Fairfield University Stags. |
Chris Cerrella - General Manager / Junior A Head Coach / Junior B Asst Coach / U-16 Assoc Coach
A native of North Massapequa, New York, Chris Cerrella played high school hockey for St. Mary's Catholic from 1992-1995. During his tenure the school won three New York High School State Championships.
Chris moved onto play Junior A hockey with the New York Apple Core before advancing into the USHL where he played for the Waterloo Blackhawks for the 1995-96 and 1996-97 seasons. As a Blackhawk, Cerrella averaged a team record of 26 goals per season and was named a USHL 'King of the Hill' All-Star game participant during his two seasons of play.
Following his stint in Waterloo Chris was awarded a scholarship from Quinnipiac University, (NCAA Division 1, ECACHL) where he played for four years. As a freshman he received All-American honors and finished his college career as the Bobcats All-Time leading scorer, a record he still holds to this day with 205 career points.
After college Cerrella went onto play professional hockey. In his three pro seasons he played in 179 games in five different leagues (ECHL, UHL, CHL, ACHL and WHA2) for the following teams: the Baton Rouge Kingfish ECHL, Memphis Riverkings CHL (Toronto Maple Leafs Affiliate), New Haven Knights UHL, Orlando Seals SPHL, Winston Salem Parrots SPHL, Fayetteville FireAntz SPHL and the Lakeland Loggerheads WHA2.
Chris finished his pro-career with 79 goals, 75 assists for a total of 154 points and 375 PIMS. During Chris' final year of play, 2003-2004, he assumed the role of Player/Assistant Coach for the Lakeland Loggerheads. As a respected team leader on and off the ice, Chris was rewarded for his efforts with an official selection to the starting line-up for the WHA2 All-Star game in Jacksonville, Florida.
Following the conclusion of his playing career in 2004-05, Cerrella moved into the ranks of coaching, taking over as the Assistant Coach/Head Recruiter for the Wentworth Institute Of Technology Leopards (ECAC Northeast, Div. III). As an integral member of the Leopards coaching staff the team achieved a record of 16-10-2, including a semi-final appearance in the DIII conference playoffs.
Most recently Cerrella spent the last three season as the Head Coach/Assistant General Manager of the Walpole Express Jr. A Tier III team in the Atlantic Jr. Hockey League. To his credit Chris placed over 25 players into college at the Div I and Div III level and also coached in the 2007-2008 AJHL All-Star game. Chris is now the Head Coach/General Manager of the Hartford Jr. Wolf Pack, part of the AJHL Tier III Junior A, and is also part of the USHL Tier I Jr. A Central Scouting staff as a regional scout for the CT/New England Area.
Chris resides in Connecticut and has a 7 year old son named CJ.

Tom Queno - U-16 Asst Coach
A native of Hartford, Tom is a former Avon Old Farms player who attended and graduated from Norwich University.
Tom went on to coach Rockville High School to a State Championship in 1994 and has followed his son coaching several Tier 1 teams to successful seasons along the way.
