Pack Lose a Heartbreaker to NY Saints

The Hartford Jr. Wolf Pack U-16's had their 7 game winning streak snapped on Sunday by dropping a hard fought battle with the 1st place NY Saints by the score of 2 -1 at Champions Skating Center. The first two periods were pretty even battles with the visitors out shooting the home team 21 - 19. The Wolf Pack took the lead late in the 1st period and the Saints came back in the 2nd with a power play and shorthanded goal to take a one goal advantage into the 2nd intermission.

The Pack had the territorial advantage in the 3rd period out shooting the Saints 16 - 7, but they just could not finish any of their opportunities. The Pack had one last chance in the final minute with their goalie pulled. But, the Saints were up to the challenge sealing the win.

Next weekend the Wolf Pack visit Boston Advantage on Saturday @ 5:00pm in Hingham, MA in a non-league contest. Then they travel to New Jersey on Sunday to take on the NJ Avalanche @ 2:15pm.
