Jr. Wolf Pack Organization Gearing Up For 2009-10

The Jr. Wolf Pack organization is preparing for the start of the 2009-2010 season which is just around the summer bend.



Training Camp will begin August 25th for the Jr. Wolf Pack Junior A, Junior B and Midget U-16 players.



There will be 2 hours of training and 1.5 hours of off-ice training for 10 days as well as a Labor Day Exhibition Weekend.



The 10 day conditioning camp which will be run by Head Coach Chris Cerrella, Rob Miller (a former Pro Hockey defenseman), Timmy Kyrkostas (Southeast scout for Hartford and a power skating instructor), Kevin Brooks (Assistant Coach for Cedar Rapids Rough Riders of the USHL), Pete Asadourian (Strength and Conditioning Coach), Dan Stewart (Goalie Instructor), and Jared Waimon (Goalie Instructor).



This camp is set up much like a college hockey camp and is geared to help condition the Jr. Wolf Pack players who have been following the team's 8-week summer work out program.



"Conditioning and core strength has become such a big part of the game now. Players can not be out of shape and play any more. They have to be the in the best shape of their lives. Here in Hartford, we only want players who want to become college student athletes and want to compete at a very high level. We had a great season as an organization last year and we are looking to build on that and become that much better," said Owner Bob Crawford.



The Jr. Wolf Pack Junior teams will be competing in January at the Eastern Junior Hockey League showcase and will also compete in four other college scouted showcases.



"We want to give our players the best opportunity to be exposed. We feel we are the best place to play Junior Hockey in our area and we are striving for excellence," said Coach Cerrella.



The Jr. Wolf Pack Junior A Tier III tyeam will participate in the Atlantic Junior Hockey League, the Junior B team will participate in the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League, and the Midget U-16 team will particpate in the Atlantic Youth Hockey League.
