B's Learn a Valuable Lesson; Go 0-2 on Weekend
2009-09-27
After a 3-0-0-1 start the Hartford Jr. B Wolfpack got a little taste of reality this weekend as they took on the Jr. B National Champions runner up Central Penn Panthers. Both games did not end well as the Pack got out worked at both ends of the rink.
"Central Penn is a great team, they are discipline and well coached. We shot ourselves in the foot in both games with selfish penalties and we got out worked all over the ice. We looked afraid out there and it is unacceptable. We will have to go back to basics this week in practice and really break things down, we can not go out there unprepared and not ready to work. In my opinion it was good that we got it handed to us, it woke a lot of guys up," said Owner Dan McCarthy.
The Jr. B Pack will look to re focus and prepare for the next set of games as they will look to continue their successful ways.
"It looked like we were comfortable, like we were the best team in the the league after we went 3-0 last weekend. It was a good kick in the pants and hopefully we learned a lot from that, it was good to get that out of the way early cause we know what we need to do to make a national run. I do not mind losing but we can not lose because of lack of work ethic and that's a big reason why we lost," said assistant coach Brian Wolcott.
