The Hartford Jr. Wolf Pack staff is proud to announce that defenseman John Corrigan will be attending Buffalo State in the power house SUNYAC Div 3 hockey conference. The Wethersfield, CT native has 9g and 10a for the Jr. Pack this season and hopes to bring some of his offensive tools to the Bengals blue line for the 2010-11 season.
"I am very excited about the opportunity awaiting at Buffalo State for next season. I am looking forward to playing for their coaching staff and in the well respected SUNYAC college hockey league. I had a great time in Harford and enjoyed my experience and I am thankful that they have helped me find the place that fit me on the ice and academically," said John Corrigan.
The 6'3 185lbs converted defenseman came to the Jr. Wolf Pack after playing last season in the EJHL (Eastern Junior Hockey League), "John came to us from Springfield looking to get an opportunity to play hockey in college and he was able to accomplish that here in Hartford like so many other players have. His play down the stretch has spoke for itself even when we converted him to defense about a month ago. He will bring the ability to play both offense and defense to Buffalo State and that is a fantastic ability to have. He is going to do a great job there and will enjoy his experience. We wish him and his family the best." said Chris Cerrella.
Corrigan will be added to a successful list of college hockey players under the Hartford Jr. Wolf Pack organization and Chris Cerrella even during a down season in the standings.
"For us college placement is wins and losses that is what kids come here for and their parents want to see. We have one of the hardest working coaches on the east coast and he continues to pump players into college hockey. The players have a great place to play here in CT and it's great that kids know that when they come here to play Junior hockey they will get exposure and they will go to college some where. Congratulations to John and to all our other players here, they have all done a great job and we look forward to watching them in the future," said President Dan McCarthy.
