Novella Commits Division I UConn

The Hartford Jr. Wolf Pack is proud to announce that defenseman Mike Novella has committed to play Division I hockey at UConn in Storrs, CT.
Novella will be play one more year of junior hockey to prepare himself to be in the Huskies line up in 2011. So far in his young career the 1992 blue liner has built a solid hockey resume and has reached his goal of getting the opportunity to play Divsion 1 college hockey and get the academics at an outstanding institution.
"We have had Mike for years, he has done a great job and we ar very happy for him and his family. He has worked really hard and has been a tremendous force for our teas each year. Mike is going to do a great job and has a great futur ahead of him, we wish him the best," said Chris Cerrella.
The New Haven, CT native is in his third season in the AJHL and has been one of the toughest defenseman for forwards to play against each season. As a reward for his great play Novella will be the youngest player on the AJHL North roster during this weekends league All-Star game.
Mike came into this season with a goal and he was able to achieve it in Hartford.
"I have enjoyed every minute playing here. I want to thank our Owners Dan McCarthy and Bob Crawford for everything they have done for me over the years. I also want to thank Coach Cerrella for putting all the hard work in that he does, he helped make this happen for me and I am very excited," said Novella.
The Jr. Wolf Pack organization would like to congratulate Mike and wish him and his family the best of luck.
