Former Player named ECAC East Player of the Week

Former Jr. Wolf Pack player Ben Schoeneberger and Vernon, CT native was named the ECAC East Rookie of the Week. Schoeneberger was a key component to Castleton's 2-0-1 week especially in the 4-2 win over conference opponent UMass-Boston on Friday.

Schoeneberger scored two goals in the win including the game-winner at 18:19 of the second period to lead the Spartans to victory.

Earlier in the week against SUNY-Geneseo, Schoeneberger also notched an assist for a three-point week.

"Benny has done a great job and is doing very well in a high end Div 3 league. We are very proud of him and we are very happy to see that he is doing well, we miss him here in Hartford and we wish him the best of luck the rest of the season." said Chris Cerrella.
