A's Split Weekend With Walpole

The Jr. Wolf Pack split the weekend with the Walpole Express who are currently in first place in the North Division. On Saturday, the Express scored 4 PP goals and were able to beat the Jr. Pack by a score of 7-3 with an empty net goal.
"We took some timely penalties in the second period, some were bad calls for sure and some were deserved but there was no flow to the game in the second period. Half the period was played on the special teams and it is very hard for coaches to coach and the players to play when games go like that but that is hockey. Penalties and poor goaltending did cost us the game as we out played them 5 on 5 but the scored 4 PP goals and scored 3 or 4 very weak goals as well," said Chris Cerrella.
The Jr. Pack left the bad in the locker room as they came out strong on Sunday with only one thing in mind, WINNING.
The Jr. Pack out worked Walpole for just about the whole game and this time did not take timely penalties and got stellar goaltending from Matt Mule as the Pack held on to beat Walpole 2-1. Rookie Mike Piet scored two goals on the weekend, forward Cameron Chinnery and Defenseman Derek Giansanti also had solid weekends chipping in two points as well.
"That win on Sunday just showed that we are a good team. We are very inconsistent but hopefully that win gave us a spark, we tried some new things before the game and moved the lines a bit and things seemed to work. We are far from where we need to be but that was a huge win for us as a team. We fought hard all weekend and that is all that you can ask, I am proud of my team," said Chris Cerrella.
