Jr. Pack Ready For Season
2009-09-10
The Jr. Wolf Pack are ready for action as this weekend will be the start of the 2009-2010 season.
With about a dozen players going to school last season and only about 8 returning players the Jr. Pack will have a new look this season.
"We have a lot of new blood in here this season which is a good thing and a bad thing. We are fast and skilled but we are not as big as we were last season. I am happy with the way we look so far, we tied Apple Core in the EJHL this past weekend 2-2 and I saw a lot of good things'" said Chris Cerrella.
The Jr. Wolf Pack will travel on Sunday this weekend to Salem, NH to take on North Division rivals the Boston Bulldogs. The two teams battled hard last season and all their games were filled with college scouts as both teams look for the same results this weekend.
"We had some great games with them last season, back and fourth with lots of action. More importantly we had 8 to 10 scouts at each game and that is the most important thing. It will be a good game to kick off the season," said Owner Dan McCarthy.
The Jr. Wolf Pack finished the 2008-2009 season in second place in the AJHL North and are looking to improve their standings.
