Junior A's Struggle Early

The Jr. Wolf Pack is just 0-3 in their first 3 regular season games so far this season. One would think that panic has struck in Wolf Pack land but for the Jr. Wolf Pack coaching staff it is still early.

"We have 17 new players this season, guys are still trying to figure each other out and some guys are still trying to figure out their roles. We are a young team unlike last season. It will take some time, we have seen some good things and we have noticed that our goaltenders need to start making the key saves that could help us win the game. It is early but we have to get on track at some point," said Chris Cerrella.

The Jr. Wolf Pack has seen its share of injuries as well as Veteran forward Steve Carlette missed this past weekend with an injury as well as defenseman Scott Teulings. Defenseman Mike Novella and forward John Corrigan are just coming off injuries as well, so the Jr. Pack staff is just waiting for it to come together.

"It doesn't help when you are battling through and you have injuries, or you go up 2 goals to have some soft goals go in against you but there is no excuses. We need to battle through and our older guys have to play like older guys and our younger guys have to realize what they did last season is not what they are going to do this season at a higher level. Things will come around, the team is too good, but they are the ones that have to work though it," said Owner Bob Crawford.

The A team looks to turn things around this weekend at the leagues kick off college showcase being played in Simsbury, CT this weekend.
